This was the very first painting of my Americana Quilt Series. I saw this country store on the back roads in Pennsylvania. Because of this first painting I became so very enamored with quilts and quilt shows. My first painting is very simple in design but it led me in to a world of Quilts. As you can see by my art so many more followed and will continue.
DIANE PHALEN is best known for her popular Americana Quilt Series of watercolor paintings. The series is a vibrant collection of watercolor paintings that feature flowers, cottages, barns, country stores and Amish country life with a rainbow of quilts hanging from porch rails, clotheslines and fences.
